Saigon, commonly referred to as Ho Chi Minh City, is a bustling metropolis and holds the status of Vietnam's most populous city, famous for street food, beautiful buildings and war-time history.

Saigon offers a mix of local and international brands. From high-end luxury stores to small independent boutiques and lots and lots of second hand markets and stores, the city caters to diverse fashion tastes.

Maintwo Saigon, District 1

Maintwo Saigon is hidden down a little alleyway (like most places in Vietnamese cities) and is one of my personal favourites. There's a big mixture of cheap and high-end vintage pieces like Avirex leather jackets and Nike sweatshirts, with more modern classics in tech-wear also. They are one of the only Vietnamese thrift stores with affordable Arcteryx jackets and other techy brands like Montbell.

My best buy was from their instagram, picking up a Nike ACG jacket for around 600k.

 Instore Thriftshop, District 10

Instore is an instagram staple (check it out here) and has an extensive range in their shop. From beautiful vintage Carhartt to classic USA vintage, Stussy and Polo Sport, you'll definitely find a retro banger in-store.

Ivylory Saigon

Cafe Ivylory is owned by a huge fan of vintage football shirts (check out his instagram here) and has built a cafe around his love and collection of the niche. Head upstairs after you've finished a cà phê sữa đá (iced coffee) to check out the incredible collection he has on offer. Loads of Manchester United, Italian and international jerseys.

They even hosted a football shirt pop-up which displayed the best classics from the 90's and 00's.

Thriftshop Saigon, District 3

Thriftshop Saigon covers all types of vintage, from big graphic tees to denim jackets and the occasional vintage football shirt and basketball jersey. Check it out if you're in district 3.

Recall Saigon, District 3

 Recall Saigon has a curated collection on display in their shop, with lots of great items to choose from. If you're looking for a vintage varsity/leather jacket, then Recall is where to look. They also love a Nascar tee and vintage band merch.

80's Saigon, District 1

 80s Saigon is another popular choice with local Vietnamese vintage enthusiasts with a strong emphasis on vintage denim and brands like Stussy, Bape and 70s/80s style. We're talking blazers, suede, colourful patterned shirts and single-stitch tees.
